Disability Inclusion & Awareness Training (DIAT)

We are hosting a Disability Inclusion & Awareness Training (DIAT) Session on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 1pm - 4pm here in the gallery at Open Space. 

Aran Wilson from the Victoria Disability Resource Centre is going to conduct the workshop: "Also known as anti-ableism training, DIAT helps organizations/businesses foster accessibility, respect, and inclusion for customers/clients and employees with disabilities. It’s an engaging step toward a more inclusive workplace."

As part of our commitment to identifying and reducing both actual and perceived barriers to accessing our programs and operations, we are providing opportunities for members of the Open Space community to participate in this learning initiative. Our recent Access Renovations have introduced new amenities to the facility, requiring updated knowledge systems and thoughtful management of the services and accommodations we can offer to everyone who works with, presents at, and attends the gallery.
