Exhibition Dates: July 2025 - June 2026
Artist Talk: Friday, December 13, 2025, 5pm (Winter Celebration and Artist Talk)

As part of Open Space's foyer programming, Elder Gerry Ambers was asked to reimagine her poetry into an installation. Letters From Star Child and Animal Break opened during the Contemplating Change exhibition.

Stars send us messages but can we read?

Stay. Stay focused on the sweetness.

All around they fall, hearts broken,

shattered on the ground.

Stay. Stay listening to the honey words of

wind women,

reminding you.

Remember, you promised.

When darkness falls

And the wailing of a thousand

mothers anguish

The hearts of the living.

Remember. Keep moving.

One foot in front of the other,

eyes focused on star child.

She will point the way home.
