- Are you wondering why so many events start with a territory acknowledgement, who should be doing them, or what they even mean? In this workshop, Scarlett Hummingbird offers her lived experiences and cultural & professional knowledge to teach the basics and history of territory acknowledgements and welcoming ceremonies in Coast Salish territories and what they entail, as well as discusses tokenization vs meaningful inclusion of Indigenous artists and professionals.
