Recognized for his dedication to contemporary music, Roger has commissioned and premiered many new compositions, positioning him at the forefront of contemporary piano performance in Canada. His main teachers were Virginia Blaha, Peter Smith, Arthur Rowe, and Helmut Brauss. Recent performances include recitals with baritone Nathan Berg at Lincoln Center

Currently he coaches contemporary chamber music at the University of Alberta. In March 2014, Roger will return to Victoria to play Ligeti’s Piano concerto with the Victoria Symphony.
