by the City of Victoria’s Artist-in-Residence Program. During this time, he
will complete three new mural-based projects with the Youth Empowerment Society, Integrate Arts Festival, the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, and Open Space. Other artists and youth participants will contribute to the murals and their installation.
His last mural, “Calligraffiti,” can be seen on the Moss Street wall of the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. He invited young poets and artists to collaborate on an original poem celebrating the arts and assisted them in translating into a mural for the wall.
Working with curatorial assistant Sara Fruchtman, Kidd’s residency will culminate in a symposium and publication in the spring of 2014. cameron will also be doing a mural on the back wall of Open space during there residency
