Join us on July 7, 2:00 p.m., to explore graphic scores. Vancouver’s Ethos Collective will guide us through the exploration of graphic scores, a way of writing music that looks more like drawings than traditional notation. With the Ethos Collective’s guidance, participants are invited to perform the resulting pieces and investigate how image turns into sound.
This event is the first in a series that aims to re-draw the interdisciplinary boundaries between concrete poetry, graphic scores, and performance
art. Our goal is to embrace as yet unrecognized forms of contemporary art expression. These explorations will contribute to the development of a project and an art app slated for early 2014.
