Curious about grants? Do you really have to sleep with the officer or the jury to get one? Have you applied for many years and have rejection-letter wallpaper?

This grant-writing workshop, led by BC Arts Council Grant Coordinator Walter Quan, demystified grants and offered tips and real information about how to be successful in your grant writing. Participants had the opportunity to serve as jurors for a group of applications taken from real visual artists. May the best applications win!

Walter Quan has been Coordinator of Arts Awards Programs at the British Columbia Arts Council for over twenty years. He knits and bakes and is in a long-term relationship with the Queen of Saanich.
