Xane St Phillip introduces the fecund art of creating vertical gardens or Living Walls. His introduction to the principles and technologies of working with living art materials touches on simple DIY to permanent structures. Students will create conceptual designs, for vertical surfaces, using paper collage techniques on a gridded underlay. This class is part of the Greenw∞sh project at Open Space June 10 to July 23. Materials supplied; bring your ideas!

Since 2002, St Phillip’s work as a visual artist has been divided between painting, design and teaching at the Vancouver Island School of Art, and as a consultant and participant in both the development of multi-family housing and commercial real estate in Victoria.
