- Description
- Wunder Worry brings together three installations by Troi Donnelly, Suzanne Franks and Kevin Yates, that seduce the viewer with representations of anxiety. Wunder Worry looks at fear of the unknown from a place of curiosity. Worrying about the future can activate the imagination and, at best, create problem solving results. “Wunder Worry focuses on how pleasure can be found in moments of anticipation. Be it the desire for something new, or the anxiety over what we can not control, it is the image that our mind conjures up that we become enamoured with. Through the artists’ skilled use of material, scale and repetition they entice us into their own unique world and allow us to see uncertainty as desirable.” Meet the three artists of Wunder Worry and the show’s curators, Megan Dickie and Hailey Finnigan at the opening reception and catalogue launch on Friday October 29 at 7 p.m.. Wunder Worry catalogues, limited edition books featuring silkscreened covers, will be available for a cost of $15. Wunder Worry continues to November 27, 2010.
