- Description
- Join local artist Tracey Nelson in an opening reception for her new work, Walls of Intrigue and Cabinets of Curiosity on Friday, May 28 at 7:30 p.m.. Walls of Intrigue and Cabinets of Curiosity makes the most of our shared delight in monkey business. Victoria artist Tracey Nelson places “monkey” imagery at the centre of her installation with scores of handcrafted monkeys as well as paintings and video with monkey characters and a robotic drawing machine. Tracey Nelson mobilizes the nostalgic affection for sock monkeys into a compelling study of DIY cultures, collecting, crafting, play theory and the tangled relationships between culture, nature and technology. Walls of Intrigue and Cabinets of Curiosity continues to July 3, 2010
