...and uncertain light
Opening: January 17 @ 7pm
Artists’ Talk: January 18 @ noon
Reading: February 10 @ 7pm
…and uncertain light, an exhibition of large-scale photographs, is intended to present an exploration of landscape as psychic, fantastical, mysterious and uncertainspace in which cultural politics of landscape, identity and spatiality are investigated. The work of Brenda Pelkey, Holly King and Tamsin Clark will present real and imagined landscapes filled with suspense and beautytriggering memory, identification and imagination. Moreover, each body of work complicates and expands our recognition and understanding of landscape, as well as displaying new photographic and literal approaches of describing and visualizing the spaces we occupy. In addition, a text component by Clint Hutzulak will be presented alongside the photographs, but will also exist independently in a printed format for distribution
